Dainius Gelezauskas, MD

Doctor Dainius Gelezauskas is a Senior Physician of the Burns Division at Vilnius University Hospital Santaros Clinics, member of Lithuanian Society of Surgeons, Association of Baltic Pediatric Surgeons, Lithuanian Society of Pediatric Orthopedic Traumatologists, Lithuanian Association of Wound Healing and European Club of Pediatric Burns.

Dainius Gelezauskas is the first in Lithuania who used early excision necrectomy technique in deep burns, evaluation of burn depth by laser doppler, hydro surgery system (Versajet) in burn treatment, VAC system in treatment of wounds, artificial skin (Integra Skin) implantation for the treatment of burns, scars and pigmented lesions.

Internships in Zakopane, Warsaw (Poland), Cologne, Tutzing, Manheim (Germany), Bratislava (Slovakia), Seggau (Austria), Yxtaholm (Sweden), Zurich (Switzerland) and Los Angeles (U.S.A.).

More than 25 years of experience in the fields of traumatology, burns, scars and skin transplantation.
