Gintas Pošiūnas

Gintas Pošiūnas, MD, founder of UAB Pošiūno klinika, former lecturer at Vilnius University, doctor at the Children’s Surgery Department of Vilnius Santaros Clinic from 2000 to 2020 and head of the Children’s Surgery Department from 2008 to 2018, President of the Lithuanian Laser Medicine Society.

He was the first person in Lithuania to apply continuous mode Nd:YAG and diode laser with ice cube method for the treatment of congenital haemangiomas and pulsed Nd:YAG laser for the treatment of congenital haemangiomas and vascular malformations; he performed operations on children to remove tumour metastases in the lungs with Nd:YAG laser.

Thoracoscopic and videothoracoscopic: microscope-guided CO2 laser laryngeal surgery in children, laser removal of tracheal scars and membranes, laser resection of parenchymal organs.

More than 20 years of experience in laser surgery and aesthetic laser medicine.

Fellowships in Maastricht, Turin, Florence, Rome, Erfurt, Berlin, Ulm, Fraiburg, Warsaw, Tel-Aviv, Cincinnati.

Certified by the German Laser Medicine Association to work in the field of laser dermatology in the EU (approved by the European Laser Medicine Association).

Performs more than 800 laser surgeries and procedures per year: hemangioma treatment, other surgical and aesthetic laser procedures.
